Do I need help getting out a bad routine?

a new perspective.

I would ask you to answer that yourself really. Before you do, just make sure you have no problem with the idea of help. If your best friend asked you for help, I presume there would be no problem in you helping them. You are not going to judge them. So let's just take away the idea of asking for help being a problem.

We still live in the jungle in some parts of our brains, so the idea of showing weakness is dangerous and therefore the idea of getting help almost is a risk.

The actual risk is that we have to admit this to ourselves. We have to admit we might need a little support. We would then have to admit there is a problem. But that is not the real problem either. The real problem is that at least the misery, rut, crap habits and routines we know are safe and predictable. And actually can also be pleasurable to a point. So then the idea that the things that bring us pleasure would have to go could be terrifying. This way of living can become completely embedded. And could feel like there is no control over it. And so without it, what is possibly left?

At one point in my life, I needed help. But really I could tell no one. I could tell no one that I was getting help either. I was worried that if I showed weakness then I would be stuck with that image almost like a sticker put on me forever. That people will hold an image of me and I wouldn't be able to change that. That doesn't work in the jungle. You are easy prey with a sticker on you.

All ideas in my mind.

Sometimes instead of help, we need perspective. Living healthy & cleanly brings a perspective that is healthy, clear and mostly trust worthy. Having a power routine reminds us of our strength. When we are living unhealthy, there is no doubt that everything is harder and our perspective may not be accurate on anything. Things may not be as bad as they seem. Now they may. But when we eat well, sleep well, move well and interact well we are most definitely healthier in perspective.

Everything we need is there. The clean food, the cold water, the sun rising, the cold grass on our bare feet, moving our bodies, fasting, breathing.... We may not have the relationships, life, work, money etc etc we want but let us take those big rocks and weeds out of the soil and from there perhaps something new can sprout.

Do you need help? Only if you want it. Maybe there are some big rocks in the soil. And so why wouldn't you get help taking them out. Weeding can be a tedious slow job. And some will always grow back. This is being alive.

PS My 7 Day course is a lovely reminder of what fresh soil looks like. And sometimes this reminder is enough. After that you know what is required to keep a good garden.
